How it works

Set up in an afternoon. Useful from day one.

One thoughtful app replaces the patchwork of reminder alarms, group chats, spreadsheets and 8pm “are you okay?” calls. Here is what setting it up actually involves.

Setup

Five steps, and consent runs through all of them.

Nobody is signed up behind their back. The supported user confirms their own account and decides what is shared before anything becomes visible to anyone.

  1. 1

    Create a profile

Pick Essential, Family or Care Pro. 30-day free trial, no card required.

Setting up an account takes a few minutes. You choose a plan, confirm who you are, and decide whether you are setting this up for yourself or helping someone else do it.

  2. 2

    Invite loved ones

Add family, carers or an agency. Everyone sees only what they need.

If you are helping a parent set this up, they confirm the account themselves. Consent comes first: no profile becomes active, and no information is shared, until the supported user has agreed to it.

  3. 3

Build a trusted circle of family

Add family, carers or an agency. Everyone sees only what they need.

The supported user invites people and sets what each one can see — check-ins, medication, appointments, alerts or documents. Emergency contacts are set separately, and everything can be changed later.

  4. 4

    Set reminders, alerts

Reassurance signals flow to family. Alerts only when they matter.

Choose when the daily check-in arrives, set up the medication routine, and decide what happens if a check-in is missed — who is told, and how long the app waits first.

  5. 5

    Family Dashboard

Stay connected through check-ins, dashboards and timely notifications.

From here it runs quietly. The supported user answers one friendly question a day; the family sees the week at a glance and hears about the things that need a person to act.

Trusted circle

Nobody gets access by default.

The trusted circle is the heart of how Aethelbridge Care works. Each person is invited by the supported user and given their own level of access, which can be changed or removed at any time without anyone else's approval.

  • Check-ins, medication, appointments, alerts and documents are separate permissions.
  • Emergency contacts are set separately from day-to-day visibility.
  • The supported user can always see exactly who can access what.
  • Revoking access takes effect immediately.

Alerts

An alert should mean something.

If everything produces a notification, nothing does. Aethelbridge Care is tuned so that a notification is worth looking at.

What triggers an alert?
A missed check-in after the interval you configured, an emergency request, or a medication routine that has drifted enough to be worth a conversation. Routine activity stays on the dashboard rather than on anyone's lock screen.
Who receives alerts?
Only the people the supported user has given alert permissions to. Emergency contacts are a separate setting, so someone can be alerted in an emergency without having day-to-day visibility.
Can the escalation timing be changed?
Yes. How long Aethelbridge Care waits before escalating a missed check-in, and who is told at each step, are both configured during setup and can be changed at any time.
Does an alert go to the emergency services?
No. Alerts reach the trusted circle only. Aethelbridge Care is not a monitored alarm service. In a life-threatening emergency, call 999.
