Two features use AI: the AI Companion and Scam Shield. Both are designed to be genuinely helpful and explicit about what they are not.
The AI Companion is not a clinician
It offers conversation, stories, news and gentle memory prompts. It is not a medical, legal or financial adviser. It does not diagnose, does not offer treatment advice, and does not assess cognition. If a conversation suggests someone needs help, it points towards a person rather than attempting to handle it.
Scam Shield offers guidance, not certainty
It explains why a message looks suspicious in plain language. It cannot detect every scam, and a low-risk assessment is not a guarantee that a message is genuine. It will never ask for a password, PIN, one-time code or full bank details, and neither will we.
Memory exercises are not assessments
Memory prompts are optional and unscored. Nothing from them is reported to family members as an indicator of cognitive change, because that is not something this product is qualified to judge.
What AI is not trained on
Legacy Vault content — stories, voice notes, letters and photographs — is never used to train or personalise AI features unless the person who created it has given explicit, separate consent.
Human escalation
AI features never make care decisions and never trigger an emergency escalation on their own judgement. Escalation follows the rules a person configured during setup.
