Security & privacy

Consent is asked for specifically, and can be withdrawn at any time.

Aethelbridge Care is built around a simple principle: the person being supported decides what is shared and with whom. Consent is not a single checkbox at signup.

Consent is granular

Each kind of information is a separate permission, granted to a specific person. Sharing your daily check-in with your daughter does not share your appointments with her, and does not share anything at all with anyone else.

  • Check-ins, medication routine, appointments, alerts and documents are separate permissions.
  • Location sharing is asked for separately, and can be limited to emergencies.
  • AI features are opt-in, and Legacy Vault content is never used for them without separate consent.

Consent is revocable

Any permission can be reduced or withdrawn by the supported user at any time, without needing anyone else's agreement and without a conversation. The change takes effect immediately.

Consent is visible

The supported user can always see who is in their trusted circle and exactly what each person can access. There is no hidden visibility and no administrator override that grants family members more than they were given.

Setting up on someone's behalf

A family member can help set an account up, but the supported user confirms it themselves. Where someone lacks capacity to consent, an authorised representative acts on their behalf under the arrangements set out in our Terms of Use, and that authority is recorded.

Aethelbridge Care helps families support loved ones with confidence, connection and care visibility.

Aethelbridge Care supports care coordination, communication and safety awareness. It does not replace professional medical advice, emergency services or clinical judgement.
