Accessibility Statement
How accessible this website is, what we aim for, and how to tell us when we fall short.

Our commitment
The primary user of Aethelbridge Care is frequently someone with reduced vision, reduced dexterity or limited confidence with technology. Accessibility is therefore a functional requirement, not a compliance exercise.
What we aim for
This website targets WCAG 2.2 level AA as a working standard. In practice that means:
- Every interactive element is reachable and operable with a keyboard alone.
- Focus is always visible, and there is a skip link to the main content.
- Text and interface colours meet AA contrast, and text resizes to 200% without breaking the layout.
- Headings, landmarks and labels describe the page structure to screen readers.
- Form errors are announced, described in plain words and placed next to the field they belong to.
- Animation and smooth scrolling respect the operating system's reduced-motion setting.
- Meaningful images carry alternative text; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
Known limitations
Product photography and screenshots are still being finalised, so several image areas currently render as labelled placeholders. The demo is an interactive storyboard rather than a video; when the recorded walkthrough replaces it, it will ship with captions and the transcript that is already on the page.
Telling us about a problem
If any part of this site is difficult to use, please tell us at contact@aethelbridgecare.com and describe what you were trying to do. That description is the most useful thing you can send us, and we will reply.
